Lithuania is the pearl of the Baltic States, a country  and is full of surprises. We would like to invite you to see it by yourself and explore Lithuania by bike.

Guided bike tour itinerary is created for people who want to see all sides of the country. The tour is combined of the most popular country sites and cities together with undiscovered unique spots. In this route, you will explore National Parks, authentic villages, main cities and all kinds of nature pearls from the rivers and lakes to the Baltic Sea.

Total distance by bike: 420 km. Distance includes non-busy roads, bicycle roads, paved roads, forest paths and gravel paths.

DAY 1. ARRIVAL. VILNIUS (0 km by bike)
Arrival to Vilnius. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Free time
Vilnius is the Capital of Lithuania located in the center of Europe which is both contemporary and ancient, rich in architecture, historical monuments, culture heritage, thematic festivals and entertainments.
One of the greenest European capitals, and a compact city filled with parks, squares.
Overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 2. VILNIUS (30 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike tour Contrasts of Vilnius. This tour will help you to reveal the secrets of Vilnius – a city with rich history and unique old town which belongs to UNESCO heritage. You will visit: Old town-one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Northern Europe.
Zverynas- historically rich and one of the oldest wooden neighborhoods.
Naujamiestis (New town) - vibrant, alternative, industrial and one of the fastest growing districts.
Station area- colorful and full of stories place. After Vilnius city tour proceed to Belmontas- French mill complex, free time for lunch. After lunch Belmontas nature tour. You will visit beautiful Belmontas water mill, cycle around Pavilniai Regional Park. In the southern parts of the park you will see a flowing river Vilnia. Also, you will visit the Puckoriai exposure, which is famous for their impressive landscape.
Free time for dinner.

DAY 3. VILNIUS-TRAKAI-DARGUZIAI ( 45 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Bus transfer to Lentvaris manor- neo-Gothic XIX century building surrounded by park designed by Edouard Andre. Starting a bike tour to Varnikai cognitive path-Educative 3.45 km long path leads through the most beautiful and hardly accessible places of the preserve. Proceed to Uzutrakis manor- Laid out on a peninsula between Lake Galvė and Lake Skaistis, the Užutrakis Manor embodies the spirit of French Neoclassicism. The manor park that was created in the late 19th century by the Frenchman Édouard François André, one of the most prominent landscape architects of that time.
Special lunch in Uzutrakis manor. Lunch includes famous Trakai Karaite’s dish - Kibinai (meat stuffed pastry). After lunch tour continues to picturesque Trakai national park with pine forests and lakes, and the ancient Lithuanian capital - the residence of Grand Dukes of the country. Visiting new and old parts of Trakai. Bus transfer to Dzukijos national park with a Stop at Darguziai Village famous of local Cheese house. Cheese tasting of fresh, ecological, home- made cheese. Transfer by bus to Dzukija National Park.
Overnight in Varena district, Dzukija National Park.

DAY 4. DZUKIJA NATIONAL PARK. MANCEGIRE-ULA EYE-ZERVYNAS-MARCINKONYS-MERKINE( 52 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike tour in Dzukija national park- the largest protected area in Lithuania and the country's most extensive forest. During the tour you will visit traditional village Mancegire which was first found in the Stone Age, Lithuanian canyon-Mancegire near the river Ula, magical Ula eye with healing water, Zervynos ethnographic village. After spectacular visits proceeding to cooking master class in Marcinkonys village. Cooking master class of traditional Buckwheat babka - a ritual bakery of Dzukija region: inhabitants of Dzukija region baked it for celebrations, waiting for honorable guests. Optional lunch. After cooking master class proceeding to Merkine village- On the way stop at Puvociu observation tower and partisans bunker in Kasciunai village. Arrival at Merkine- one of the most important towns in XIV century, loved by famous king Vladislav Vaza. Visiting Merkine hills, main square and observation tower. Transfer by bus to Kaunas- temporary capital of Lithuania. Kaunas, the second largest Lithuania‘s city, Kaunas was chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2022. The city is famous for its Interwar architecture.

DAY 5. PAZAILSIS MONASTARY-KACERGINE-ZAPYSKIS-KULAUTUVA-VILKIJA-PANEMUNE (65 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Bike tour starts at Pazaislis Monastery-one of the most beautiful example of Baroque architecture in North and East Europe. Tour continuing to Kaunas old town passing by Panemune district. Proceeding to three little towns located on the Nemunas River, Kacergine, Zapyskis and Kulautuva that together make up a resort area of Kaunas District, were already famous in the inter-war period for the pristine beauty of nature and the curative powers of the health resources they can offer. Today it is an exceptional tranquility, silence and coziness oasis. Lunch in Kacergine, after proceed to Zapyskis than ferry boat to Kulautuva. Bike tour ends in Vilkija panoramic stop. After bike tour you will go by bus on scenic road Panemune with a stop in Raudones Castle with spectacular views of Nemunas River from the observation tower. Transfer by bus to Curonian bay.

DAY 6. RUSNE-SILUTE-SVENCELE ( 63 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day bike tour in Curonian bay. During the tour you will visit: Rusne - the only Lithuania’s town in the island, famous for the beauty of nature, a variety of birds, spring floods. The Nemunas Delta environs attract bird watchers and nature lovers. Rusne is a border town as, across the river, there is the Kaliningrad Oblast (Russia). Town is famous for amazingly tasty smoked fish that locals prepare by special technique. Smoked Fish tasting .Silute- It is a coastal land, where life is created by people and water. Silute Region is famous for spring floods that submerge great territories, separating several settlements from land communication roads. Svencele- Place that water sports enthusiasts have long discovered this modern kiteboard and sailing center on the Curonian Lagoon. The vastness of the lagoon, the untamed nature, and the views of the Curonian Spit captivate everyone who comes here to catch a good wind.
Free time for dinner.

DAY 7. CURONIAN SPIT ( 53 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Ferry to Curonian Spit- A pearl of the Baltics, an adornment of the seacoast, the native land of Neringa‘s fairy tales. The Curonian Spit is a narrow peninsula with sand dunes, separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. You will start your trip from Nida- one of Lithuania’s representative cultural sites. It is Neringa’s administrative center and largest settlement. From the west, it is surrounded by sand dunes, and the Curonian Lagoon borders its east side. Visiting Parnidis dune and cognitive path of Nagliai as it is one of the outstanding places in all Neringa district. After lunch in Nida you will proceed to Juodkrante- the only settlement in Neringa that the main road goes through. Additionally, it is the closest settlement to the sea 1.5 km away. The road to the sea goes through an old wood – on the interchanging high dunes and gaping valleys, trees have been growing for hundreds of years. After your tour you will go by ferry to Klaipeda- the port of Lithuania. Short city tour in Klaipeda old town. After transfer by bus to Plateliai.

DAY 8. ZEMAITIJA NATIONAL PARK. COLD WAR MUSEUM- PLATELIAI-TELSIAI (65 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Day starts at Cold War museum. Cold War Museum is located in the former Soviet Union`s complex of ballistic missile silo launch. Since 1963 up to 1978, there had been deployed four medium- range ballistic missiles SS-4, armed with 2- megaton power thermonuclear warheads. After museum visit you will start bike tour around Lake Plateliai- is the largest and deepest Zemaitija’s lake famous for its natural, cultural and landscape value. Even depths of this Lake are special: unique geological formations have been discovered here, changing understanding about formation of the entire Zemaitija Upland. Proceed to Telsiai- the capital of Samogitia. City tour in Telsiai. After Telsiai city tour transfer by bus to Anyksciai.

DAY 9. ANYKSCIAI-RUBIKIAI-ANYKSCIAI (46 km by bike)
Breakfast at the hotel. Short walking tour in Anyksciai. Anyksciai- At 11:00 Departure to Rubikiai lake by historical narrow-gauge railway. Bike tour around Rubikiai lake- which can boast of 16 islands - the stream, kiss, High, garlic, Liepinio, Great and others. During the tour you will visit Burbiskis manor and Rubikiai observation tower. Proceeding to Horse museum- unique and only one in Lithuania. After Horse museum visiting Anyksciai wine factory- one of the oldest and biggest beverage factory in Lithuania. Participating in educational program including: tour inside the factory and local wine tasting with professional sommelier. Tour continuing to Tree Top walking path- it is the first path in the Baltic States and entire Eastern Europe that provides an opportunity to take a walk high above the ground, at the level of treetops. The Treetop Walking Path is 300 meters long and gradually rises up to 21 meters above the ground.
Transfer by bus to Vilnius.

    We had amazing experiences during the tour. The trip was full of interesting sites, local people life reflections. Nature of Lithuania is outstanding. All journey was organised very well, the guide was high level.
