The next stop on our route is the Dūkštas Manor Homestead Palace. This is a manor located in Ignalina district, Dūkšteliai village, founded around 1862. In 1901, the manor belonged to Tomas Zanas, a graduate of Vilnius University, the founder of the Philomathic Society, poet and geologist, who married Terese, the daughter of the then owner of the manor, Daugėla. The poet Adomas Mickevičius often visited them. The famous Vilnius Art School painter Jonas Rustemas has also lived in the manor.

Dūkštas manor park is a natural monument of local significance. Since 1813, when the manor belonged to the Beganskiai, the manor acquired classicism’s distinctive features. There were also four ponds here: three small and one larger. Here you can also find around 40 different local and brought trees and shrubs.
