The next stop on our route is Norviliškės Castle. It is said that the castle was built on the site of the old manor in the 17th century by the rich East Prussian merchant Vaitiekus Šorcas, who fell in love and married the local countess Darata Zienovičiūtė.

Did you know that in 1834, military barracks were built here?

The soldiers have settled in the old monastery building, where they stayed until the beginning of the 20th century.
