In the historical town of Salakas in the Aukštaitija region, Zarasai district, there is Salakas Cognitive Trail. It is a 5 km long, circular route. The arrows of the educational trail will show you a route on a wooden trail on the shore of Lake Luodis towards the observation tower.

From the tower, you can admire the panorama of Lake Luodis and watch the water and forest birds.

During the route, you will visit the interesting cemeteries of Salakas Tartars, the old town and city centre of Salakas, the memorial museum of the first teacher in Salakas A. Poderis and the main highest stone church, “Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows” in Salakas.
