In today’s post, we would like to talk about the national dish of Dzukija – Grikine boba (babka). 🤤 It is a traditional Dzuku pastry baked from buckwheat flour with all the shells. The babka was usually baked during the festive period, for honourable guests and other occasions.
Did you know? 🤔 Buckwheat has always grown well in the sand dunes of south-eastern Lithuania, that’s why buckwheat dishes are very common here. 🌾
